🐾 Terms & Conditions – Little Gremlins Dog Grooming

Welcome, we're thrilled to pamper your furry friend! To keep everything running smoothly and safely, please read through our Terms & Conditions below.

 

 

1. Appointments & Cancellations 

 

• We require a £15 deposit to confirm your booking, this will then be taken off the total bill upon collecting your dog.

• We take payment via cash, card or bank transfer so please prepare for this prior to your appointment.

• We kindly request at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Your deposit is non refundable past this point.

• We are a small self employed business so any cancellations made after 48 hours of your appointment time will incur a 100% fee of the scheduled service minus deposit.

• No-shows will be charged at 100% of the appointment cost.

 

 

2. Late Arrivals

• If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and may still be subject to a cancellation fee. Please update us at your earliest convenience of any delays so we can try our best to cater.

 

 

3. Pet Health & Behaviour

​

• Please inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies or behavioural issues your dog may have before the appointment.

• We reserve the right to refuse service if your pet shows signs of aggression, illness, or extreme anxiety that may cause harm to staff or themselves - we may still require payment for what has been done.

• Please note we do not accept pregnant dogs or dogs currently in season.

• In the rare event of a medical emergency, we will contact you immediately. If necessary, we may seek veterinary care at your expense.

• We recommend at least two puppy grooms prior to a full groom, dogs will need to be 6 months+ for this service. We do not clip fur during a puppy groom and only do what the dog is tolerating, so please take this into consideration when booking.

 

 

4. Matted Coats & Special Grooming Needs

 

• Severely matted coats can cause pain and pose health risks. In such cases, dematting charges of £5 may apply, or a full shave-down may be necessary. If this cannot be agreed on, the groom may need to be refused.

• We will always aim to discuss grooming options with you beforehand.

 

 

5. Fleas & Parasites

 

• We must be made aware of any current flea infestations, ticks or worms prior to the appointment.

• If fleas or ticks are discovered during grooming, a special flea bath will be administered or tick removed at an additional cost.

• You will be informed, and you may be asked to reschedule if infestation is severe.

• 48 hours is needed between application of flea prevention and a grooming appointment.

 

 

6. Pick-Up Policy

 

• Dogs must be picked up within 30 minutes of being notified that they are ready, unless prior arrangements are made.

• A late pick-up fee may apply after this grace period.

 

 

7. Vaccinations

 

• All dogs must be fully vaccinated before entering the salon. We may ask to see proof of a medical record for this.

• If a dog has recently been vaccinated they will need a 2 week gap before having any grooming treatments.

 

 

8. Photos & Social Media

 

• We love to show off our furry clients! We may take photos/videos of your dog for use on our website or social media. • Let us know if you’d prefer your pet not be featured.

 

 

9. Liability

 

• While every care is taken, grooming involves handling live animals, and Little Gremlins Dog Grooming is not liable for any injury or illness that arises during or after the grooming session, unless due to proven negligence.

• We are not liable for any skin irritation caused by the grooming service, especially while having to clip hair short due to welfare or hygiene issues. We always give 100% to each groom & would never cause irritation on purpose.

• We do work on a 1:1 basis but please note we do not crate any dogs so while waiting in the salon there may be other pets present.

• Please make sure dogs have been to the toilet before arriving for their appointment.

• We will make every effort to provide additional support to elderly/infirm/overweight and young dogs but if we cannot guarantee that your dog will be able to adequately support themselves for the duration of the groom, which may result in serious health risks and an increased risk of other injuries such as cuts and grazes, we reserve the right to stop the grooming process at anytime with payment in full being due on collection of your dog.
